Supported game modes
Bot lobbies work with the core Battle Royale playlists:
- Battle Royale - Duos, Trios and Squads
- Zero Build - Duos, Trios and Squads
Because the bot has to be in your party, you play in a team - so queue with at least one teammate slot and set matchmaking to No Fill. Solos has no room for the bot and is not used for bot lobbies.
Unsupported game modes
These modes do not produce bot lobbies:
- Fortnite OG
- Ranked and other competitive playlists
- Limited time modes (LTMs)
- Creative maps
- Custom or tournament matches
If you queue into one of these, matchmaking will not fill with bots - even with a bot in your party. The bot warns you in chat and sits the mode out.
Recommendations
For the most reliable results, use Zero Build Duos or Trios with No Fill and exactly one bot in your party.
