How to play bot lobbies with friends

Team up with your friends and a single bot to drop into the same bot-only Fortnite lobby together.

Build your party

Create a Fortnite party and invite your friends first. Once everyone is in the lobby, invite one FNLB bot and wait for it to load in.

Do not ready up until the bot has fully joined, otherwise matchmaking can start without it - and without it, you get a normal lobby.

Only invite one bot

A bot lobby is created when a brand new, level 1 bot is the matchmaking anchor. Two or more bots breaks the lobby and can drop everyone into a real match.

Keep it to exactly one bot per party, and don't mix bots from different setups.

Pick a supported mode

Use Battle Royale or Zero Build, in Duos, Trios or Squads, with No Fill turned on. Avoid Fortnite OG, Ranked, LTMs and creative modes.

Everyone readies up together once the bot is loaded in.

Tips

  • Have the party leader own the bot, so fill is turned off automatically
  • If a bot already joined another party, ask its owner to free it up
  • If the lobby looks like a normal match, back out and set up again
