# Managing your bot's friends list

Add, accept, decline, block and remove friends on your FNLB bot, and invite friends to the bot's party.

## Why manage friends?

A bot can only join the party of someone on its friends list - including you. You can manage that list entirely with chat commands, and automate parts of it in the category settings.

## Friends commands

| Command | Aliases | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `add-friend <user>` | `add` | Sends a friend request |
| `accept-friend <user>` | `accept` | Accepts an incoming request |
| `decline-friend <user>` | `decline` | Declines a request |
| `remove-friend <user>` | `remove` | Removes a friend |
| `block-user <user>` | `block` | Blocks a user |
| `unblock-user <user>` | `unblock` | Unblocks a user |
| `friend-count` | `fc` | Shows friends, pending and blocked counts |

Bulk variants work too: `accept-all-friends`, `decline-all-friends`, `remove-all-friends` and `unblock-all-users`.

## Party invites

| Command | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `invite [user]` | Invites a friend (or you, if none is given) to the bot's party |
| `join [user]` | The bot joins your party or sends a join request |
| `promote [user]` | Makes a party member the leader |
| `user-info [user]` | Shows details about a user |

## Automating it

In the category settings, **Accept Friend Requests** and **Accept Invites** let the bot accept friend requests and party invites automatically, so it can join you without extra steps.

> **Note:**
> Keep only one bot in a party for bot lobbies - a large friends list is fine, but extra bots in the party are not. See [How to get into a Fortnite bot lobby](https://fnlb.net/support/bot-setup/bot-lobbies.md).
